Andrew Lake

Andrew Lake is a Research and Development Manager at Lakefront Development Group, where he focuses on market research and detailed analysis for commercial real estate development projects in the Pittsburgh and South Florida markets. In his role, he develops strategies to identify and pursue new investment and development opportunities.

Through his professional experience, Andy has developed skills in financial analysis, market research, quality management systems, client relations, and project management. His approach combines analytical thinking with a strong interest in understanding business opportunities and creating practical strategies for growth.

Academic Experience

Andy Lake graduated from the University of South Florida (USF) with a Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship, with a concentration in Finance. During his time at USF, he demonstrated strong academic performance and received the Green and Gold Scholars Award in 2020. The award provided tuition expense reduction for first-year, out-of-state students with excellent academic achievement.

Beyond academics, Andy remained actively involved in campus and community activities. He was a four-year member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity, where he contributed to the organization's activities and leadership. As Ritual Chair, he helped uphold the organization's values and led fundraising initiatives supporting the Huntsman Cancer Institute.

​

His involvement with Sigma Chi allowed him to develop leadership skills while supporting causes that help others. These experiences strengthened his commitment to service and community involvement.

​

His Earlier Education

Andy developed a commitment to achievement from an early age. While attending Marshall Middle School, he earned a place on the Honor Roll during the 2014-2015 academic year. He continued balancing academics with athletics throughout his high school years.

​

At North Allegheny Senior High School in Wexford, Pennsylvania, Andy participated in football, basketball, and lacrosse. His athletic efforts earned him multiple Scholar Athlete Awards from the North Allegheny Unified Boosters Organization for football (2014-2015, 2015-2016), basketball (2014-2015), and lacrosse (2017-2018).

Andy also attended Summer's Best Two Weeks Camp, a summer sports camp for kids ages 8 to 18. During his time there, he was recognized for his positive attitude, work ethic, and ability to encourage others. Camp counselors viewed him as a leader who could motivate teammates and support younger participants. His actions reflected the camp’s “I’m Third” philosophy.

He later graduated from North Allegheny Senior High School with a 3.6 GPA and was recognized as a Multi-year Scholar-Athlete and John Rullan Lacrosse Scholarship Finalist (2020).

Andy’s Professional Experience

Andy began developing professional experience early through internships and employment opportunities. During his internship at SRI Quality System Registrar in Wexford, he earned his ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Certificate for Quality System Management. He completed an intensive two-month training program with SAE International and became the youngest person in the company’s history to achieve this certification.

At SRI, Andy participated in quality management system audits for multiple clients. This experience provided him with knowledge of business process analysis, quality control, and operational process improvement. He also helped develop and implement communication processes between customers and the internal scheduling team.

​

His previous roles at The Toy House and Emporio Restaurant further strengthened his abilities in customer service, communication, and problem-solving. These experiences helped him understand the importance of working effectively with people in different professional environments.

His Technical Skills

Andy has experience using Microsoft Office and has foundational knowledge of Python programming. He also has basic Spanish language skills, adding to his ability to communicate in different settings.

​

His Community Service

Community involvement has remained an important part of Andy’s life. While serving as Ritual Chair of Sigma Chi Fraternity at USF, he supported fundraising efforts for the Huntsman Cancer Institute.

​

Andy also volunteered with the Miracle League, an organization focused on removing barriers that prevent children with mental and physical disabilities from participating in baseball. Through this involvement, he supported opportunities for children to experience the sport's enjoyment and connection.

​

Andy’s Personal Life

Born in Marietta, Georgia, Andy values his relationships with family and friends. He is one of four siblings and enjoys spending time with his niece and nephew. Family remains an important part of his life.

​

Outside of work, Andy enjoys golf and maintains a 14 handicap. He also shares interests in basketball and football with his siblings. His other hobbies include traveling, fishing, and exploring the culinary arts. During high school, he also pursued aviation through flight lessons.

​

As Andrew Lake continues to build his career, he plans to leverage his financial knowledge and entrepreneurial background to pursue opportunities in commercial real estate. His goal is to obtain his commercial real estate license and continue developing his career in the South Florida market.
